So after a few hours of testing I finally discovered how you can view a video in high quality on youtube. What you do is add “&fmt=6” to the end of the video url and tada it will be as clear as crystal! However, this will not work for all….only certain videos will work. Try different numbers too since there’s a wide range of video formats that people upload. Only a few recent videos of mine can do this. And youtube’s system is really weird too when they’re under maintenance so there are certain hours where you can watch it and then it’ll go back to the mediocre standard settings again which is not as clear. Also, if you have an account at youtube remember to choose the Video Playback Setting under Account to “I have a fast connection. Always play higher-quality video when it’s available.” So here’s an example of a video of mine. Notice how my little logo is a lot clearer in the second one.
1. The regular URL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Px0npB1Rkiw
2. The HQ URL with &fmt=6 at the end. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Px0npB1Rkiw&fmt=6
Go watch it and see the difference!
Really sorry to some subscribers of mine that messaged me about having trouble viewing the new “Tokyo Air Raid” video because I had to put it to private for testing. But here’s the thing, starting today I’ll be adding the HQ versions of my videos for download at this blog. So check the link for “fanmade videos” up at top & you can download it there.
Only the newest video & upcoming ones after today will be available though. So only “Tokyo Air Raid” under Jdoramas category is up for download at the moment. I’m only providing this solely for personal use, I can’t stress it enough so please do not upload my videos anywhere without asking me first. Thanks!
