Once again…

Can’t you see that I’m too lazy to even blog these days. Full time work has taken up more of my time than school, and I thought school was overwhelming. :/ I just have so much stuff to do these days, I don’t even have time to sit down and watch a drama properly. It’s only once in a while that I get to work on my videos because I still enjoy doing it. I also don’t know what to blog about anymore. I’d think about what to blog and then the next day I would forget all about it, and then I would delay it until weeks later and blog about random things. So what is the point of this entry? Just to let you all know that I’m still alive, still hanging around somewhat and even though I won’t be able to blog as much like before - I’ll still be around to update my videos and such. :) Happy summer everyone!!!

finally friday!

I can finally take a break for this weekend…only two finals coming up next week and that is it, then I am done!!!! Finally DONE!!! I’ll be graduating on the 19th weeee! I’m happy but at the same time not so much because after this I’ll be a full-time employee at a job that I’m already starting to dread. The internship wasn’t bad because I didn’t have to go every single day but now just thinking about how I have to go to work from M-F from 9-5 is already making me sick. I still have to do it because I need the money for grad school and expenses plus I have all these traveling plans to start on. The most important thing that has been my main source of motivation is that I know I’ll definitely be back in school to study what I love most - multimedia design. That’s my goal.

I haven’t been watching much these days, the only series I’ve been keeping up with is “Last Friends” which you can see the new banner featuring Juri Ueno. She is so awesome in this character that you won’t even think that she was the same girl in “Nodame Cantabile”. What else….oh yes, I’m so behind on my Kdramas need to start on that again. I have lots of videos to work on, I’m hoping to finish off all the series that has been done airing already. So stay tune! :)

unhappy monday

So I’m sitting here at work, it’s about 9:30 something a.m., I have an assignment due in a few hours for class later and I’m sooo sleepy. I ended up being more busy on the weekends these days trying to finish up for class and studying - finals are coming up real soon. May is not such a great month although the weather has been great so far. I feel like crap today, I seriously detest Monday. I aways end up not getting enough sleep because I get too much sleep on Sunday and can never go to bed early. And I ate too much last night and now I feel bloated and fat plus I look like a racoon - man I just can’t stand being a girl sometimes. It’s a long day for me today zzzzz.

+videos

I found some of my fanmade videos from last year in HQ formats in my laptop the other day so decided to upload it for those that want to download since I won’t be able to make new ones any time soon. So check out the fanmade videos page for those. I finally got myself an internship and started working plus schooling from M-F so I’ve been quite busy. I’ll be back on the weekend though! :)

Honey & Clover

I recently just finished Hachimitsu to Clover and thought it was quite a sweet story so I’m really looking forward to the Taiwanese version which should be coming out real soon, I think next month? My new favorite Eddie Peng is in here and he definitely fits the role of Morita. Oh yes and looking forward to seeing Joe Cheng & Janine Chang too. Not so familiar with Ito Chiaki and Lego Li though. They do look the part but I personally prefer Rainie Yang for the role of the little college girl Hagumi, if you see what her current hairdo is like for her new drama then you know what I mean. An all-Taiwanese cast would’ve been ideal but too bad Rainie is filming another series, and ironically her second male co-star is also Japanese. Anyways, let me do a quick image rundown of the main cast and compare it with the Japanese version like what I did with Hana Kimi before.

As you can see hairstyles and such are similar but I don’t know much about the storyline. It’s mainly a simple story about friendship & love, college life etc… not much drama I don’t think. A nice relaxing spring/summer drama is what I’ll call it. So we’ll see if this will follow the Taiwanese high-rated series list this year. I’ve added some new videos & music for download today so grab it while you can before the links expire!

…………….

Have been quite a bit busy this past week bombarded with schoolwork/exams and interviews for internships so couldn’t really stay up late to blog & do all those online stuff that I usually do. I would be dead tired by dinner time and just couldn’t wait to go to bed. But it’s all over now, I’ll be free again this upcoming week or so probably just sitting by the phone and waiting to hear from the places that I interviewed with. Being a senior sucks when you know that you’re almost done with all those years of studying but then you have the “real world” out there waiting to suck ya in and give you even more work probably for the rest of your life. But what the hey, it’s life - gotta keep on going and do what makes ya happy. And I’m happy right now, :) & got more videos coming up soon!

movies, movies, movies

So apparently all the little cousins of mine can’t wait to see this movie because it’s so aweeesome to them which means I’ll be taking them to go see it in a few weeks or so. Yay I just can’t wait. >_<

I have been watching a bunch of movies lately since not really into much dramas these days. I saw “21″ and “Shutter” in theater the other day because I was too bored at home and the movie theater is only like five minutes away from home. Plus I got free tickets soooo :) As you know, I’m a horror flick junkie - I watch pretty much all the creepy/gory movies from spirits to zombies to uhhh little crittery bugs that can kill. But I personally prefer more of those on the thriller & suspenseful supernatural genre than the machete-psycho-killer going around cutting up people for no particular reason.

I watched the Thai version of “Shutter” a very long time ago and there were two scenes in there that definitely gave me the creeps. So after seeing the American version, I found myself laughing at those two scenes. Don’t get me wrong, the movie is not all that horrible - it’s a heck of a lot better than many asian horror remake releases recently such as “The Eye” & “One Missed Call”, it’s just repetitive for me maybe because I’ve seen the original already. Then we have “21″, quite a fun movie but just not my cup of tea because I don’t like gambling & casinos one bit. My friend loved it though because she’s a fan of blackjack and go to AC pretty much after every paycheck. It’s all self-explanatory here. So I conclude watch these two on DVDs if you can.

Then today I got a free day because my night class is cancelled so I made it a DVD day! I watched ”Awake” and “August Rush” for lunch, a waste of time for the first and was totally mesmerized for the second. After that went out to see some cherry-blossoms and get some fresh air in the city. Then I got back home earlier and saw an interesting DVD in my little bro’s room - “The Kite Runner“. I see the book everywhere & had no idea there was a movie for it because it was on limited release, so I decided to watch it and see why the book was one of the best selling novels of recent years. Now I know why. It was such an inspirational & emotional story, I can’t explain it you just have to watch it and see for yourself. I’ve always been ignorant of wars & issues outside of the Eastern Asia zone but this movie has opened my eyes up a lot. Now I must read the book because I heard the book is even heaps better than the movie. I really need to watch more movies like this instead of the usual thrills & scares.

Oh look and here’s the trailer for the American remake of “My Sassy Girl”.

Ha! I got HQ videos on youtube! & for download!

So after a few hours of testing I finally discovered how you can view a video in high quality on youtube. What you do is add “&fmt=6” to the end of the video url and tada it will be as clear as crystal! However, this will not work for all….only certain videos will work. Try different numbers too since there’s a wide range of video formats that people upload. Only a few recent videos of mine can do this. And youtube’s system is really weird too when they’re under maintenance so there are certain hours where you can watch it and then it’ll go back to the mediocre standard settings again which is not as clear. Also, if you have an account at youtube remember to choose the Video Playback Setting under Account to “I have a fast connection. Always play higher-quality video when it’s available.” So here’s an example of a video of mine. Notice how my little logo is a lot clearer in the second one.

1. The regular URL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Px0npB1Rkiw
2. The HQ URL with &fmt=6 at the end. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Px0npB1Rkiw&fmt=6
Go watch it and see the difference!

Really sorry to some subscribers of mine that messaged me about having trouble viewing the new “Tokyo Air Raid” video because I had to put it to private for testing. But here’s the thing, starting today I’ll be adding the HQ versions of my videos for download at this blog. So check the link for “fanmade videos” up at top & you can download it there. :) Only the newest video & upcoming ones after today will be available though. So only “Tokyo Air Raid” under Jdoramas category is up for download at the moment. I’m only providing this solely for personal use, I can’t stress it enough so please do not upload my videos anywhere without asking me first. Thanks!

welcome once again!

Welcome all to my newest blog online over at wordpress. So I finally made the announcement over at http://myolie-wu.net . No longer a webmistress, no more website to take care of and now I’m just your fellow blogger. Honestly, I’m a little sad. It’s like giving birth to a child, raise it for a few years and then leave it. I learned a lot from being a webmistress, and that site really sparked my interests in the multimedia field that I’m seriously considering about pursuing now before it’s too late.

I finally feel at home at this new place for some strange reason. I can assure you that this will be my home online from now on, no more moving this is it. Will be back to my normal blogging mode soon but gotta take a little break for now. And thanks for visiting my new blog esp. to those of you from my past blog! :)
